Low-carbon, battery grade LiOH. Strategic scale. Made in Europe.
Green+ Antwerp is Lithium Ark’s flagship lithium refining project, designed to strengthen Europe’s battery materials supply chain with locally produced, battery-grade lithium hydroxide.
Located in Antwerp, Belgium, Green+ Antwerp will deploy Lithium Ark’s patented Green+ refining technology to convert lithium chloride into battery-grade lithium hydroxide with significantly lower environmental impact and superior economics compared with conventional lithium refining routes.
The project has adopted a diversified feedstock sourcing strategy, with active discussions underway with lithium producers and project developers across Argentina, Chile, the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada, strengthening supply security and reducing dependence on any single sourcing jurisdiction. LOI signed with an Argentinean Company.
With a planned capacity of approximately 30,500 tonnes per year of LiOH battery grade, (equivalent to 5,036 tonnes per year of Li metallic) and targeted production start in 2030, Green+ Antwerp is positioned to cover approximately 8.7% of projected EU lithium metallic demand by 2030, addressing a critical gap in Europe’s refining capacity.
By combining smarter chemistry, lower CO2 emissions and water consumption, better economics, and European industrial integration, Green+ Antwerp sets a new benchmark for lithium refining in Europe.
The estimated project CAPEX is expected to be financed through a combination of strategic industrial investors, senior project debt, and promotional financing from European and national financial institutions. Potential strategic investors may include lithium producers, chemical companies, battery value chain participants and other industrial partners seeking access to low-carbon European lithium refining capacity.
In parallel, Lithium Ark is already evaluating the preparation of an Innovation Fund application, which could provide an additional source of non-dilutive funding and further strengthen the project’s overall financing structure.
Europe’s energy transition depends on secure access to battery materials. Yet today, only one lithium refinery operates in continental Europe, leaving the region highly dependent on imports for a material that is essential to electric vehicles, energy storage systems, and grid-scale batteries.
Green+ Antwerp directly addresses this challenge by establishing a scalable, low-carbon lithium refining hub within the EU, supporting Europe’s ambitions for industrial resilience, decarbonisation, and supply chain autonomy.
This location enables Green+ Antwerp to operate at the heart of Europe’s battery ecosystem while minimizing logistics costs and emissions.
Lithium Ark is entering a pivotal stage of growth as we advance Green+ Antwerp, our flagship European lithium refining project, towards Final Investment Decision (FID) within 24 months. We are opening an equity investment opportunity (EUR 6m) to fund the next phase of project development, complete key engineering and de-risking activities, and position Green+ Antwerp for bankability and construction.
For investors, Lithium Ark offers exposure to a critical bottleneck in the European battery value chain through patented lithium refining technology, strong project economics, capital-efficient development and a scalable platform for future projects. We are seeking investors who share our ambition to build a cleaner, more competitive and resilient lithium supply chain and participate in the next stage of Lithium Ark’s growth.
